Clinical Observation on the Transurethral Resection

Abstract
|
|
|
A clinical observation was made on 54 cases of T. U. R. , admitted to the Department of Urology, Jeonbug National University, Medical School durirg the period from January 1979 to September 1980.
The results were summarized as follows ;
1. Of 550 In-patients for 21 ,months, 54 cases urderwent transurethral resection.
2. The age rargc.d from 41, years old to 84 years old, with the most common in 7th decade and male to female ratio was 17 : 1.
3. Among 54 cases, B. P. H was 31 cases, bladder tumor was 13 cases, prostatie ca, was 6 cases and median bar was 4 cases.
4. Average weight of resected tissue was 14.2 gm in B. P. H. , 8.5 gm in prostatic ca. , 6.2 grn in bladder tumor and 7.5 gm in median bar.
5. Average duration of indwelling catheter was 6.5 days in B. P. H. , 6 days in prostatic ca, , 5 days in bladder tumor and 6 days in median bar.
6. There was no transfusion durirg the T.U.R.
